The East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership (EHHOP) is a medical student-run clinic that provides primary and ancillary care services to uninsured residents of East Harlem. Patients are seen by a team composed of one Senior Clinic (3rd or 4th year medical student), one Junior Clinician (1st or 2nd year medical student), and a Mount Sinai Medical Center Attending.
The following services are free for all EHHOP patients:
• Primary and preventive care
• Non-emergency urgent care
• Health education and awareness
• Patient advocacy
• Social Work counseling
• Prescribed medications
• Laboratory testing
• Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing
• Voluntary HIV/AIDS testing and counseling
• Referrals for specialty care and imaging
• Nutrition counseling*
• Screening to help see if you qualify for Medicaid or other public insurance
• Benefit screening to help identify relevant community resources
*Patients interested in nutrition services can call EHHOP at (877) 372-4161 and leave a voicemail with your name and phone number, stating that you would like to see a nutritionist.
If you require specialty care, we will refer you to the appropriate clinic at Mount Sinai. EHHOP’s Access to Care Team will help facilitate this process.
To see if you qualify for medical services at EHHOP, please review eligibility requirements. If you do not qualify for EHHOP’s services but need help seeking medical care, call us at (877) 372-4161.
In addition to our weekly primary care clinic, EHHOP also has three ancillary clinics that are open only on select Saturdays:
• Cardiology Clinic
• Women’s Health Clinic
• Eye Clinic (Ophthalmology)
• Mental Health Clinic
Your primary clinic team will refer you to these clinics as appropriate.
Services We Do Not Offer
