Phlebotomy

Why become a phlebotomist? In my first three years of medical school, I had successfully drawn blood from another person’s arm a grand total of 3 times – 6 attempts. In just 2 Saturdays as an EHHOP Phlebotomist, I was 10 for 11 on venipunctures. Moreover, I went from trembling, unsure, and utterly mystified by venipuncture to smooth, fast, and confident. So, in short – for a low commitment and high yield experience, volunteer as a phlebotomist.
